Seattle and King County lawmakers have been grappling with the opioid crisis. Last year, over 300 people died of an overdose. A contentious idea – safe injection sites – exist in many places around the world. Many people wonder if the sites will help or hinder the substance user. “You can’t help a dead person”, states Michael Roberts, Victim’s Father & Co-Founder, Amber’s H.O.P.E. REACH’s Co -Director Chloe Gale joins Seattle City Councilman Rob Johnson, Dr. Joe Merrill, and Gretchen Taylor of Neighborhood Safety Alliance of Seattle to discuss the pros and cons of safe injection sites.
